Slipknot launch mysterious website and countdown timer - Lambgoat

It looks like Slipknot have something up their sleeves for the near future, as the band has begun a teaser campaign through 742617000027.net.

The mysterious website includes a message that says "Worse forwards than backwards" with a text box underneath it. The space allows fans to try out different codes, but if you get it wrong you are presented with the following message:

"You have nothing to contribute so stay the fuck out."

However, if you use the right code ("comeplaydying"), you are presented with an alternate message:

"Intrusion Detected.You are being observed.By continuing, you consent to:Your actions being trackedYour data being harvestedAnd your identity being marked for future contact.You also agree to immediate ownership and full responsibility for the contents of the box — should it find you."

The code also brings you to a new page with artwork from the band's self-titled era and a countdown timer that will conclude on July 21.

Many have speculated that the teasing may be related to the upcoming 25th anniversary edition of the band's self-titled album. Stay tuned for an official announcement.
